Buckeye Bag and cleaning up loose ends

Kind of freaking out about my impending surgery on the 14th!!! I feel like I have to have everything completed like I'm losing my arm forever. So what do I do? I go make a purse!!

I finished my Buckeye Bag finally and also made a couple of wristlets.




One of the wristlets is from a dress I bought at the thrift store. It was a beautiful dress and it fit me perfectly.




But than I cut it apart and really didn't think it through. I broke off 2 needles and did more cursing than I ever had. The other wristlet I made from a vintage table cloth from the 1950's that I picked up at a flea market. The feel of the fabric is like no other. There's nothing like vintage fabric. Fabric made today cannot even come close to the quality. I'm cleaning like crazy today while Brad and boys go skiing.

  1. Ya best be makin me a Buckeye Bag!! But use a different fabric for mine as I really don't follow or support my alma mater.
    All the best w/ the surgery! Don't freak--it will be fine, I'm sure. Wish I could be there after to help out. But I kind of think the 5 kids and I would drive you nuts.
